NONA'S SUPPER CLUB — A NEW MUSICAL
CONFIDENTIAL PROSPECTIVE INVESTOR DISPATCH
Dear Prospective Partner,
In theatre, the shows that last are the ones audiences can't stop talking about, and the ones that can be run with discipline. A production succeeds when a crowd-pleasing, word-of-mouth experience is paired with a lean, flexible operating structure.
With that in mind, we are delighted to introduce Nona's Supper Club: a comedic, campy new musical serving up Sephardic cuisine and a family secret or two. It is an 86-minute, 11-song show in which the audience members are the guests at Nona's table.
Since its Times Square debut in September 2024, Nona's Supper Club has grown from restaurant rooms into cabaret stages and, most recently, a New England tour. It has played Bar Mexicana, Chelsea Table + Stage, 54 Below and Le Rivage on Restaurant Row, and The Flying Monkey in Plymouth, New Hampshire. Two of its New York venues sold out, and guests keep coming back. As we prepare for an Off-Broadway run in 2027, here is why we believe Nona's Supper Club is an attractive opportunity:
1. A Proven, Interactive Format
Every guest is part of the cast. Because the audience plays the dinner-party guests, no two performances feel alike, and the show gives people a reason to tell their friends and return. Interactive and immersive productions have a strong track record in New York, from Tony n' Tina's Wedding, which ran more than 22 years, to Sleep No More, with roughly 5,000 performances, and the new hit, Titanic. More recently, interactive theater has gone mainstream, with Broadway shows like Every Brilliant Thing and more. It is clear that audiences are demanding and wanting more from theater.
2. Lean, Flexible Production
The show is built to travel. It has played restaurants, cabarets and a theatre, which keeps staging and overhead modest.
3. Proven Demand and Momentum
Oversold New York runs, repeat attendees, and a steady progression of venues since 2024 show that audiences respond. The next step is a longer run in a venue of the right size.
4. Broad, All-Ages Appeal
The show combines humor, music, food-driven storytelling and family secrets, so it plays to couples, families, multigenerational groups, and group-sales and celebration audiences. That reach gives the show a wide base for group sales, private events and touring.
