Social Media Specialist

Job Posting: Social Media Marketing Person with NYC Off-Broadway Theatre/NYC Events experience.

Nona’s Supper Club is hiring a 2-month Social Media specialist to promote the show. This is a part-time, contract role ideal for a savvy theatre lover and marketer who thrives in NYC’s Off-Broadway/Events landscape.

About the Role
We are looking for someone with a strong track record in building audiences and engagement for live theatre and events in New York City. The Social Media Marketing Specialist will be responsible for crafting and executing social campaigns that elevate our show’s profile, sell tickets, and grow our community.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement a dynamic social media strategy across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Threads, etc.)

Collaborate to create engaging, on-brand content (posts, reels, stories, videos, copywriting) tailored to theatre audiences

Manage content calendar and posting schedule to align with marketing and press timelines

Leverage NYC theatre trends, hashtags, influencers, and press outlets to maximize reach

Analyze performance metrics and adjust campaigns for maximum impact

Collaborate with producers, PR team, and cast to amplify content and audience engagement

Provide coverage during key events (rehearsals, openings, press nights, live performances)

Qualifications

Proven experience managing social media for an Off-Broadway, Events or NYC theatre production (or comparable live entertainment brand)

Strong knowledge of NYC theatre audiences and marketing trends

Design video editing, and copywriting skills (Canva, Adobe, CapCut, etc.)

Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and respond quickly to real-time opportunities

Passion for theatre and storytelling is a must!

Compensation
2 month contract. Commensurate with experience.
